AURORA'S PLACE AT AURORA PLACE
Display at Aurora Place Sydney

1-5 December 2003

Renzo Piano, the famous Italian architect penned a vision for the heady building that now graces Aurora Place in downtown Sydney which lives on in the few lines which form the logo of this elegant site.

That same logo together with the well known '101' block signify the leading edge design that these buildings in Sydney and Melbourne [101 Collins Street] now command. Both buildings are noticeably the prestige business sites in Australia's two leading cities. Through common ownership through Colonial First State Property they keenly joined the Aurora 'Beaming' program for 2003-04.

Keith Woodward at Aurora Place and Peter Young at 101 Collins Street are keen enthusiastic managers of these great properties and technology buffs in their own right. They report to Jason Ferris himself a self admitted enthusiast for motor racing and high technology.

What a delight it was for Aurora to be invited to display the Aurora 101 solar car in Aurora Place Sydney early December.

Dennis Burns and David Fewchuk from Aurora undertook the transportation and display. The solar car looked right at home in the beautiful foyer of this prestigious building.

Coincidentally, Foundation Sponsor of Aurora Minter Ellison is a major tenant of Aurora Place. They held their major Christmas event in the foyer on 3 December which drew 700 attendees. Colonial First State Property also held their own client function on 4 December featuring the solar car.

The level of interest was pretty high. Concierge Sim turned out to be extremely knowledgeable on solar energy and professionally fielded most of the questions about the car that people asked.

Aurora looks forward to returning to this sort of welcome in Sydney during the Sunrace event next February.
